Jack Crum Conference 2018
It is paradox that the most powerful nation on earth and the richest is also the most unequal. By most measures, the United States leads the leading industrial democracies in economic inequality. Why is it that way? And does it have to be the way?
The United States, which also prides itself on being one of the most religious nations on the planet, is also one with some the highest poverty or people close to poverty.
The North Carolina Annual Conference chapter of the Methodist Federation for Social Action will explore these issues during our 10th Annual Jack Crum Conference on Prophetic Ministry - “Economic Inequality for All.” The purpose of the conference is not only to provide good information but also to inspire action and how people of faith can put their faith into action.
“You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your countrymen or one of your aliens who is in your land in your towns.” - Deuteronomy 24:14
